Gulf Sunset - 1 week b/4 Katrina

This is the beautiful sun setting over the Gulf taken on the Island Star boat (King Fisher Cruise Lines) near Cape Coral, FL. We were there just one week before Hurricane Katrina. Boy did we get lucky!

It saddens me to think that just two weeks later, that poor boat may not even exist anymore. So for all of you, who like me (before vacation), wonder why people continue to live in Hurrican Alley areas, here is why.

Can you imagine seeing this every evening before you go to bed? It was breathtaking. I only wish the boat would have stayed still long enough, or I had a better camera, LOL, so that the pictures wouldn't have gotten out of focus.
