Hear Hear! I can't tell you how much it peeves me to see women wearing sleeveless tops, spaghetti strap tops, etc.

Timing on this article is interesting for me today. I had an observation. I think the reason why skinny bitches wear those spikey-high-heeled shoes at work is because walking in them causes their butt to shift a certain way and thus draw attention to their asses.

Outsourcing America

Damn, I can't find any recent articles, and damn, why don't people DATE their web articles, but this is from Sept 05. I have gotten first hand affects of outsourcing recently. My company outsourced labor to help with a transition of support roles from one country to ours. Now, they continue to outsource by having some of the East Indian natives here on work visas, and some still in Pune, India, telecommuting. Now, I have nothing against these guys, they are all very nice and respectful. But, it is hard for me to be appreciative of them when I feel that they are taking jobs away from other Americans.

But then, wait a minute, are they? It seems that there may be more to the picture than just the image before us. With the growing trend of devaluing science and math in schools, or at least, our status of being #26th in the world for math/science grades, maybe we just don't have enough trained individuals to do these IT jobs. But, that is at the programmer level.

Support roles, such as the Tech support offered up by Dell and other PC manus, there is no reason those need to be outsourced. Why are they then? For profit, pure and simple. These CEOs just don't seem to know how to live off of the millions/billions they have already, but they need to get more and more. And, for those who have spent a great deal of time and energy pursuing an IT degree, only to find that there is no job for them, it isn't a good thing. At one time, it was very easy to get an entry level position programming. Companies accepted that you would be green, and there would be some ramp up time. Well, now companies still accept that position. However, that entry-level position no longer goes to an American citizen, instead it is outsourced to India.

What does it mean for the mighty America when we have outsourced so much of our jobs that we are no longer self sufficient? What will happen to us when other countries start enacting trade restrictions against us because they don't agree with our domestic policies. Who will we turn to to feed our nation when this happens? Is America a 3rd world nation in the waiting? Think about it.

Damn, I tend to be democratic, but why were the demos so against this amendment??!! I say it should have been written in the constitution, but heck, back then, they never would have dreamed that 10% of Americans would speak Spanish. Didn't we have some kind of Spanish_American war???

Oh well, at least there were a few demos voting in favor. 10 of them in fact.

Attorneys acting for American publication People magazine have demanded websites immediately remove unauthorized photographs of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with their new baby. The couple sold the North American rights for the prized first pictures of daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to the magazine for a reported $4.1 million. Britain's Hello! magazine has reportedly secured the international rights to the photos, which allegedly appeared on various gossip blogs yesterday. It is not clear whether the pictures that appeared briefly are authentic. The leaked photos feature Pitt and Jolie in a Hello! magazine spread gazing down adoringly at their new baby. Representatives for Time Inc, the publisher of People magazine, immediately sent out letters threatening legal action to various gossip blogs accusing them of copyright infringement. The document demands the websites must 'expeditiously remove or disable access to the infringing photograph upon receiving this notice.' The celebrity couple announced on Monday they were selling the photos through America's Getty photo agency and donating the profits to a charity benefiting African children."

Why can't people just play nice! As you may have read in one of my previous blogs, I put forth this suggestion to Angelina and Brad. Of course I realize that they didn't get the idea from reading my blog < grin >, but it sure is nice to know that they are as smart as I. (Or is that "as me" I never do recall, so I guess I am not that smart after all. < wink >)

I may actually go out and buy a People trash mag just to support the cause! Bravo Angelina and Brad, way to give it to those sleeze bags that call themselves photojournalists.
