Affleck Rushed to Hospital

Affleck Rushed to Hospital

Good Will Hunting star Ben Affleck spent his Memorial Day holiday on Monday, in the hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, after developing serious migraine headaches. The actor's wife, Alias star Jennifer Garner, drove him to hospital and he was released after receiving emergency treatment. According to a statement released by the star's representative Ken Sunshine on Monday, "Ben Affleck was treated for a migraine at Mt Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, today. He was released this afternoon, and is recuperating at home." The celebrity couple are spending the summer in Cambridge with six-month-old daughter Violet, while Affleck directs his first feature film Gone, Baby, Gone.

Wow, do you think maybe NOW people will take migraine disease seriously? It would be a shame that it would take a celebrity having migraines for people to understand that it is a very real, and very debilitating, and very SERIOUS disease. I bet the ER didn't question him for hours to ensure that he is not a drug-seeker as they do so many other migraineurs out there. (I do not speak from experience, luckily for me, I have only had to go the emergency method twice, and both times to the family doc.)

This coming from Kimberly who has had a mind-numbing, dull headache/migraine for 3 days now. :-(

Do I need to remind people: Migraines are not just headaches! Thank you. :-)
