Save Arrested Development on Fox!

I am watching the Emmy's and, even though I LOVE Desperate Housewives, I was thrilled that AD won an Emmy to bring more attention to this show. I got turned on to it half-way through Season 1 by a colleague (Thanks Mat!), and never could find it on television. (Cause FOX kept moving it!) I finally got caught up on DVD, and have not been able to watch the Marathon on Friday nights because my VCR is dead, and I have to work Friday nights.

We must save this show! There is a website for it --> http://saveourbluths.com/ so go check it out. Season 3 did get picked up, yeah, and starts tomorrow. I will have to try and record that on the PC and save them until I can watch the DVDs for Season 2. (My tuner card is a bit glitzy in stability of recording.)

If you haven't seen it, all is not lost, Arrested Development is on Monday nights at 8pm ET, on FOX. It is truly the most intelligent writing I have ever seen, and I was a huge Seinfeld and Friends fan. You gotta stick with this show, it is a bit quirky, but once you get used to the characters, you will love it!

PETA TV: Select Your Media Preferences: Shocking New Fur Investigation

PETA TV: Select Your Media Preferences: Shocking New Fur Investigation

Ok, I take back my words. Was talking to dear best friend yesterday about fur because of all of the J-Lo hoopla recently. I thought, well, come on, what more good are these animals for than their skin and furs. And, I would stand by that statement, until I saw this. I coudln't even watch the entire thing so beware, it is quite hard to see. No animal should have to suffer such as that. I just figured that they put the animals to sleep THEN took their fur. And I guess I never realized that skinning them killed them, really, and I just thought they were minks, but foxes and racoons, oh my. I guess PETA isn't that bad after all.

I love my hair!

I know it is silly, but my one vanity point is my hair. I absolutely love it. I was just watching Access Hollywood (I know I know), and they mentioned that stars such as Beyonce, Lynsday Lohan, etc, pay 5000$ for hair extensions to give them a fuller and longer hair appearance. Muhaha! I have it naturally and don't have to pay for it. So, I may not be skinny, but I got great hair!

Apple - Trailers - RENT - High

November 23rd!! I am so excited. I cannot wait to see this on the big screen. I have been dying to see RENT again ever since the first time in Columbus, and now on the big screen, with most of the original BROADWAY cast! I don't think the version I saw had any of the original, but it was spectacular. I think Seasons of Love is an amazing and powerful song.

LOL - Now maybe people will understand my music when I blast it in my car. Yes, I blast the song and sing along. Not ashamed to admit it. :-)

Movie & TV News @ IMDb.com - WENN

Movie & TV News @ IMDb.com - WENN: "Oscar winner Jamie Foxx erupted on the set of his new movie Miami Vice after learning of a racist prank played on his stand-in. The Ray star reportedly insisted that two insensitive crew members were dismissed after they approached David Brown holding nooses, suggesting that he and Foxx were heading for a Ku Klux Klan-style lynching. Publicists for the movie confirm the incident took place but refuse to comment further. But an insider on the set tells US tabloid National Enquirer, 'Jamie was absolutely infuriated with the blatant racism. To him and David, the joke was a reference to the common practice of lynching black people in the American south during slavery days. Jamie came stomping out of his dressing room and demanded an explanation from the crew members involved. They realized they had gone too far with the joke but an apology was far too little and too late for Jamie.'"

I'm sorry, did it suddenly just revert back to the mid-1900's??? How would anyone think such an act was just a JOKE??? Those guys should be happy that Jamie only got them fired; he should have given them a good butt-kicking too!

Unbelieveable... but true....

Yahoo! Search blog: Firefox Got Yahoo!

And apparently without your permission!

F*cking Yahoo! just installed their damn toolbar on my Firefox browser, even though I said NO to all prompts to install it! WTF?! They con you into upgrading your Yahoo IM client to have Voice chat, just so they can install this garbage, and gosh only knows what else, on your computer without your permission.

Stay clear. Hell, once Google gets their IM fully functional and available, bye bye Yahoo!

Palm Treo 650

Oh how I love my Treo 650. It was a pricey purchase, but I have yet to regret it. It is absolutely the kewlest thing I have purchased in a very long time. I love being able to not only look up restaurant phone numbers, but actual menus so I can pick up dinner when I am out running errands. You know what I mean, you spent WAY too much time out and about and have no energy, or time, left to cook dinner.

I do think, however, that Palm and/or Sprint PCS are terrible for not including the voice dialing feature/software in the phone. I had become accostomed to having this feature in every previous Sprint PCS phone. You already paid $600 for the phone, why another 30$ just to be able to drive and call safely! But being able to listen to stereo MP3s, watch DVDs, and keep track of my life is making up for that lacking a bit. ;-)

Did I forget to mention the built in camera for both photos and video? Sure, you aren't going to get professional images or video, but it does the job in a pinch! Or when you want to rub it in to your colleagues when you are spending your vacation on the beach. There seems to be a limit to the video time, although I can't find that published anywhere. But, I did find out the hard way when I was trying to record my niece's graduation walk! But, heck, if you want video, buy a digital camcorder, ya know?

I even love the steel blue color, it is so sleek and sexy. But, mine is covered up with a skin already, pink even, as I dropped it not once, but twice, the first few weeks and have a few scars on it. Perhaps they should have made this out of titanium? So, if you have the funds, I highly recommend this baby.

Movie & TV News @ IMDb.com - WENNUU

Movie & TV News @ IMDb.com - WENN: "Former NYPD Blue star Kim Delaney has lost custody of her teenage son after he testified in a Santa Monica, California, court that she was endangering his life by drink-driving. Jack Cortese, 15, told the court that his mother embarrassed him when she turned up drunk at a friend's house and then insisted that he came home with her. The teen said, 'I attempted to keep her from driving her car, but she was very demanding. 'My mother demanded that my friend go with us. He refused to drive with her because she was drunk. 'Unfortunately this is not the only incident in which I have seen my mother drunk.' Cortese, who is now living with Delaney's ex-husband Joe Cortese, claimed he hadn't seen his mom since August 11 and is keen to keep his distance. He added, 'I do not want to be with her until she has completed rehab and is sober. I am very concerned for my safety when I am with her.' The actress' alcohol problems were highlighted three years ago when she was arrested for drink-driving."

Is this like life imitating art? What a shame she didn't learn something from playing an alcoholic on NYPD Blue for all of those years...

Reality Setting In...

I do not think I can watch very much more television. I am so deeply saddened by the devastation of the hurricane. I really believe that we could have, and should have, prepared more for this disaster. Why did nobody think to try and bus the poor residents out of the towns such as NO and Biloxi. I realize that the expectation to hit MS was not there, but, at least they could have summoned buses from nearby to start busing the NO poor people out. Instead, many of them are now stranded, and probably will suffer a larger percentage of the overall deaths. I guess nobody cares about poor folks, especially poor black folks, eh? That would be the message I see, and I am sure the residents do as well.

I am so grateful to have been spared any harm from this storm, and gives me more motivation to move out of this hell hole they call the south. Southern hospitality? What a joke! I recall the Blizzard of '78 back in Toledo Ohio. We had only been in our home for a few weeks, didn't know anybody, but that didn't stop the residents from helping each other out. There was no looting of closed business, there were no killings, that I recall.

Of course, we cannot have too much pity for the looters. Sure enough, those who were breaking in to stores to get food and water, go for it, but what in the hell do they propose to do with televisions, jewelry, and other stuff. And to loot a hospital? Take over a truck delivering desperately needed medical supplies? Let's not take pity too soon. It may very well be that those doing these crimes are the low-life of society. Pity those who are now going without because of these idiots.

Meanwhile, back on the homefront, there is apparently some discussion about boycotting gas stations today. Seems silly to do since most everyone took the gas stations to a trickle YESTERDAY. But hey, what do I know...
